With this power folding hitch, you do not have to reach under the car to detach or disassemble the hitch.
With this electric folding tow bar, you do not have to reach under the car to detach or dismantle the tow bar. With the push of a button in the luggage compartment, you fold out the tow bar. The towbar can be set in one of the locking positions with one hand movement.
For increased safety, the control knob is equipped with an indicator light that shows whether the towbar is locked. If the hitch is unlocked, a warning message appears on the vehicle's instrument cluster.
The trailer unit (TRM) provides electronic communication between car and trailer.
Using the light control function on the car's display, the trailer's lights come on sequentially, making it easier for you to check the lights.
If there should be a malfunction or problem with the trailer's turn signals or brake lights while driving, the trailer unit provides driver information immediately.
The trailer unit is equipped with the "FIX4BIKE®" system. This allows the installation of future accessories specially prepared for "FIX4BIKE®".
When the tow bar is completely installed, the trailer stabilization function (TSA) is activated. The trailer stabilizer's task is to stabilize the vehicle with a hitched trailer in situations where the vehicle combination has started to sway. The function is part of the stability control ESC.
The trailer stabilizer continuously monitors the movements of the car, especially sideways. If sway is detected, brake control takes place for each wheel, which has a stabilizing effect on the vehicle combination. This is usually enough to ensure that the driver regains control of the car. If the swaying does not decrease despite the initial intervention of the trailer stabilizer, all-wheel braking is applied to the vehicle combination in conjunction with that the driving force of the engine is reduced. When the sway has gradually decreased and the vehicle combination is stable again, the system breaks the control and the driver regains full control of the vehicle.
All Volvo towbars are designed specifically for use on a Volvo. They form an integrated part of the car body and meet the most stringent requirements for safety and function.

- The towbar is designed for the maximum trailer weight and maximum nose weight, but lower values may apply depending on the model. For the exact details, see the owner's manual for the car.
- Download software (application worth €24.20) for the correct operation of the accessory from the Volvo dealer.
- To be able to fit the towbar, the car must be factory-fitted with option preparation 1091 (VDN 2A06). Check if the car is equipped with this option preparation/variant code as it may vary by market and over time. In certain markets, this option preparation is removed by default. The affected markets may vary over time.
